Not fiction but I asked my partner, she recommended "You Are Good" podcast, especially early episodes when it was named "Why Are Dads?", see the 9/3/2022 "In which we discuss grief + other stuff!" - I found those early episodes helpful to be in a community with ppl who have real complicated dads

Funny saw the word yak. Different context, for us its yak chews. Still crazy $$ but last longer.
