Grandfather to three, therefore permanently knackered. Changing our lives to make theirs safer.
Excellent, thanks!

Any recommendations for a newbie?

Agree 100%, but if you think this is just going to blow over I fear you’re mistaken. When will the government stop fighting on Reform’s turf (where you’re going to lose, and where you legitimise the debate) and start speaking positively about immigration and humanely about refugees?

So over the years hundreds of thousands of people (including me) have shuffled through the foyer without a clue what they’re walking on? Can’t think why they don’t make something of it?
March 25, 2025 at 9:55 AM
Please say it’s not still there…?
March 25, 2025 at 9:31 AM
Please don’t do that. Lots of us bought them before Musk lost his mind. My father lost his mental health fighting Nazis and it still hangs over me to this day. Randomly shouting abuse isn’t productive and in my case would be massively offensive. And don’t just say “sell it”, life’s not that simple

I’ll happily give them time, but the blank refusal at the top of government to even consider such an obvious win is tiring. You don’t actually have all that much time, and there’s a lot to do.
January 30, 2025 at 9:39 AM
Good! Then can we get on with it please? You’ll never have a bigger majority, so what is slowing you down?
January 25, 2025 at 8:41 PM
My wife and I (141 years between us) did a bodily audit the other day and found we couldn’t make one fully functioning human being between us. It’s quicker to list the bits that work than those that do. Still, we stumble on.

You’re right, and I apologise for my tone and for the offence. It’s hard not to be truculent (excellent choice of word) when you judge my world view based on my choice of car. The CEO of Tesla has clearly lost his mind, and to be assumed to be sympathetic to his appalling behaviour is a bit grim.
January 14, 2025 at 8:28 AM
What does a choice of car say about what I will tolerate? How do you know what I think?
January 13, 2025 at 6:02 PM
Probably fair enough for the ludicrous Cybertruck. But does driving a Model S or 3 make someone a wanker? And if so, why? Lots of car companies have very dubious connections, but that doesn’t reflect on the owners.
January 13, 2025 at 10:11 AM
Read again. We have two Teslas and they draw virtually nothing.
January 12, 2025 at 4:07 PM
I keep this one handy for times like this.
January 11, 2025 at 12:25 AM
Ignore the obvious bot. That’s excellent work and you should be proud of it.
January 9, 2025 at 12:09 AM
But it’s not a reason is it? Because it hardly ever happens.

We saw it in glorious sunshine in September and it left us very deep in thought for a long time. The setting is beautiful and being able to see two more circles from the site was the icing on the cake!
December 29, 2024 at 10:34 AM
Me too! But we’re sticking with the Model S for now because, well, it’s a Model S! Plus we bought our first one before Musk lost his mind. And anyone who tries to tell me how bad they are rapidly demonstrates that they don’t know what they’re talking about.
December 17, 2024 at 10:12 PM
If people throw their toys out of the pram over your choice or car, couldn’t you just block them? They’re not up for a rational discussion, so block and move on. Some of us are very interested in your Tesla story!
December 17, 2024 at 9:51 PM
Yes. Because it’s so, so much better than the other place, and because if a service is free, you’re paying with your privacy.
December 17, 2024 at 12:24 AM
Ok, then have an anecdote (which of course isn’t science either, but it’s all I’ve got). Just had the state of health of my 7 yr old 70,000 mile Tesla Model S tested. It’s 97%. At this rate I’ll have to replace the battery in about 30 years by which time I and the car will be long since dead.
December 12, 2024 at 9:45 AM
No, because the article is nonsense.
December 6, 2024 at 11:28 AM
Really not sure we’ve “moved on” when all the evidence shows Brexit to be an economic and diplomatic catastrophe. Still, this looks like progress, and many congratulations on the appointment.
December 6, 2024 at 8:02 AM
Thank you! A remarkable debate that might lead to a kinder end for those need and seek it.

Had Cross Climates on both our Model Ss. Really, really long lasting and excellent grip, which seems an unlikely combination but there it is.
