"Delicious Wish"

I have many wishes, and my childish heart, which I love, wishes deeply and often. More than I can consistently achieve before whimsical wishes whisk me wayward to the weird with love.

I'd like to wish wisely.

When I'm out of my breath and I have no more friends
At the end of my love and beginning of death!

So I better love true
Yeah, I better wish best
I'd best think this through
If I want a life blessed

Or floundering defensive - I'm takin' it wholly
Growin' boundaries without brakin' 'em
Out stakin' the whole me
Knowin' ground's where I'm placed in

Reachin' for clouds and rustlin' loud
I'll drop leaves and fruit while I hustle 'n mount
This life that I got that's mine 'n never not!

By my own hands with my understanding
Of what my meal is and what is happening
Without standing on grand feelings
Without pretending or imagining

Against what I'm dealing with
Without reeling on the fence 'n shakin' 'em

Immediately after posting this I began writing a poem about the feelings the ritual of sharing the wish publicly invoked.

Are my wishes more than trollin' 'n fishin'?
Should I be suspicious of my wish missions?
I want 'em' to be dishes cooked oh so delicious
