There's a CS2/3 gap too, but that's not quite as weird. I assume the drop off in sales post-Reverie pushed them into prioritizing grabbing new fans, because I don't think Falcom would do this normally, assuming it really is a 2027 game.

Multiple series is one year seems like a much safer bet than two Trails games, yeah. Anything's possible at the end of the day, but TX/Ys 5/new IP would be my expectation.

Of all franchises to be concerned about continuity, this is a really funny one. Like sure, OHMSS gets referenced a fair bit by later Bonds, but it's otherwise pretty episodic for all the movies I've seen.
