Hobbystreak day 4 - 99% - just the basing to finish on this guy (unless I find something I missed or it gets pointed out in the comments!). Played around with the camera a bit, will take better pictures of the fully finished model soon. Happy with outcome, glad I put time in on this chap.

Hobbystreak day 2 - back at it - spent some time on highlighting horse and the blue today - definitely need some tidy ups via adding some more midtone to the blue areas where I went a bit too chunky, and to apply some silver bits along the edge of the barding also. Almost finished the 'test' knight!

Hobbystreak day 1 - back on the wagon - had a couple of days off painting/gaming, was still writing lists, talking about the hobby and setting up my laser engraver for making MDF bases and movement trays. Had a game last night, Empire Vs Chaos with a win for my cav focused list! More painting soon!

Hobbystreak day 1 - back on the wagon - had a couple of days off painting/gaming, was still writing lists, talking about the hobby and setting up my laser engraver for making MDF bases and movement trays. Had a game last night, Empire Vs Chaos with a win for my cav focused list! More painting soon!

Hobbystreak day 34 - 4-0 - no painting today as life got in the way, but I did complete the last of my games in the SBOT2 UK regionals and won all my games (14-6, 18-2, 20-0, 19-1) 💪. So here's a shout-out to the MVP of the 7 games total I played in SBOT2, and a PSA - leave a 2" gap to the edge! 🤣

Hobbystreak day 34 - 4-0 - no painting today as life got in the way, but I did complete the last of my games in the SBOT2 UK regionals and won all my games (14-6, 18-2, 20-0, 19-1) 💪. So here's a shout-out to the MVP of the 7 games total I played in SBOT2, and a PSA - leave a 2" gap to the edge! 🤣
Hobbystreak day 33 - bits n bobs - put a bit more time into the knights, got remaining horses basecoated and did skin base and shade - I'm down to straps, cloth, feathers and hooves (I think) and everything will be the right colour, just onto making it look good then. Fair few hrs into these so far

Hobbystreak day 32 - short session - tired after a long week and fancied a bit of a break from concentrating so just slapped a bit of guilliman flesh and snakebite leather contrast onto skin and, hair and clothes to bring some of my artillery crew and engineers a step closer to tabletop ready

Hobbystreak day 31 - sending it - basecoated a horse and some parchment, then had fun going to town on my test cloak. Highlighted fur, practiced blending on the skin then just went for it on spots, happy with how it turned out - think avoided making it look goofy 😊 #oldworld

Couple more shots - need to fiddle with camera settings going forward as some of the contrast is a bit washed out. I used Dark sun Yellow and Manticore ochre + flesh wash from two thin coats + agrax earthshade citadel. Pretty happy with it so far

Hobbystreak day 30 - big leaps fwd - started eating my greens and painting horses but quickly went straight for cloaks. Tricky piece to not make look goofy, laid down the base and some shade, starting to work up before adding markings. C&C welcome!

Hobbystreak day 29 - lunchtime painting - inspired to paint along with @sixdiceskills.bsky.social painting stream, may get back to some more this evening, got the blue base down on the champion and did a second coat across the unit. Getting there, it's exciting, really looking forward to next steps

Hobbystreak day 28 - more blue - trucking along painting more Abyss blue on my Knights Panther, really enjoying the process and seeing them start to come together. One and a bit down before a late bedtime. Looking forward to completing this stage and moving onto the next (horses?)

Can't wait to add this absolute unit to my Empire collection... And if the forces of Talabecland are coming with him, I'd better rebase some of these retro boys for a club game!

Hobbystreak day 27 - progress 🎉 - managed to get quite a bit done this evening and back to blocking in Abyss blue again after painting gold and washing all the metallics. Happy with gold helmets instead of yellow (will be highlighted up to gold). Unsure of yellow on shields and colours for cloak atm

Hobbystreak day 26 - dividends - the re-prime was worth it, metallics going on smooth and fast. Hoping to get some more hobby time soon, tiring coming into the end of a year with a demanding job and young family, the streak and engagement is keeping me making progress - however small - thanks! 💂♂️❤️🔥

Hobbystreak day 26 - dividends - the re-prime was worth it, metallics going on smooth and fast. Hoping to get some more hobby time soon, tiring coming into the end of a year with a demanding job and young family, the streak and engagement is keeping me making progress - however small - thanks! 💂♂️❤️🔥

Hobbystreak day 24 - still streaking - forgot to post as I was super excited about painting these but as I got to the end of this step I realised a grey undercoat made life very difficult in behind shields and under legs.. also, so many mould lines

Hobbystreak day 23 - Abyss Blue - started to put down some Abyss blue from my new favourite range - two thin coats, and realised I had better paint the knights silver first - back to that tomorrow. The blue lances look cool!
