I had the idea to ask ChatGPT to decipher this for me and I feel like I need to repent for such a vile thought.

I've been loving Expedition 33's story but I'm also only near the end of Act 1. This makes me so excited to get through the rest of the story!

And this isn't even really about Nintendo. They're going to be fine regardless of what they charge. This is more about smaller indie studios. When Nintendo and other AAA studios start charging $80 for their games, that'll give indies more room to charge $40 or more for theirs.

But Nintendo tries to set a more realistic standard for game prices and now they're greedy... Developers deserve to be fairly compensated for their work, especially when everything is getting more expensive all around the world.

What's crazy to me is that video game prices have been insulated from inflation for a very long time. Games have been $60 for two decades. All the while the video game industry has been eating itself alive for a while now, with mass layoffs and studio closures making headlines all the time.

I always prefer physical games as well, but there's something different about "party games" like Mario Kart, Mario Party, Smash, etc. The convenience of always having them handy when hanging with friends is too much to ignore

I managed to grab a Switch 2 without Mario Kart on Target's website. The bundle sold out in 5 seconds 😭

I use Ubuntu on my home server for three years and it works great. Very stable and easy enough to Google-Fu thru most issues. But using it as a desktop/laptop operating system has given me too many problems when I just need a machine that works.

ChromeOS is actually stable. On three different machines, I get constant visual glitches, hiccups, and complete freezes on Ubuntu and Bazzite just trying to use Chrome. Also, I appreciate the deep integration of Google Drive in COS, which is completely lacking a Linux sync client.

Linux users love to pretend that everyone wants to spend an afternoon or longer getting their PC configured with what they need. I say this as someone who got frustrated with Ubuntu and swapped to ChromeOS 💀
