great. That's how I like to teach philosophy: as an ethical practice encompassing study, asceticism, and debate regarding yourself and the present time.

I completely agree. But I also think this approach might get confused with a "philosophy of life." The philosophical practice, as a teaching-learning-transformational exercise (epistemological, ethical, corporal, etc.), goes beyond the good "individual" life but necessarily focuses on human life.
