The Press Secretary needs to stop calling the Texas flooding an “Act of God.” God doesn’t cause devastation. God consoles. God is with the grieving, not behind the disaster. Cutting emergency weather forecasting wasn’t divine, it was human. Blaming God dodges accountability when we need it most.

I'm grateful to have had my opinion letter shared by the Kansas Reflector this week.
I've canceled my Target Circle 360 and Amazon Prime memberships because their decisions to eliminate DEI initiatives don’t align with my values. Supporting businesses that prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion matters to me—so it's time to shop elsewhere!

In these difficult times, hope is a necessity. Hope fuels our resilience and reminds us that justice is worth pursuing. We must stand firm in the face of the evil among us. Darkness does not get the final word. Keep fighting. Keep hoping. Keep building the world we deserve.

I have struggled with speaking out. I think many of us do. We wonder what we could possibly say when the humanity of our transgender siblings is under attack. But silence is not an option—not when lives are on the line.
