Full Page! What if Rory's brother once studied under Hawthorne, and he had to cross paths with him again now that he's taken his brother's place in the world after his death. Tension, Impropriety, and Pettiness abound.

I was hoping for a moment of your time to submit my first chronicle to the-" The dour man cuts Rory off, "I have no time for frivolous submissions." Panel Two: They stand nearly face to face as the professor continues, "Waste my time further and I'll have you remanded to security." Rory implores, holding the manuscript up, "You haven't got time for the scion of a university patron? The Dunstans are-" Panel 3: Hawthorn glowers as he interrupts again, "And why, pray tell, should I care for work you clearly had your sister write for you, Master Dunstan? It's been years since you stopped needing my tutelage or extra lessons. Or have you tired of whoring yourself out with those wastrel so-called 'adventurers'? You waste your talents with the likes of them. Rory sternly responds, "Because Rhys was my brother, Professor. And you may address me as Captain Rory Dunstan." Panel Four: Hawthorne looks aghast, "Rory?! Gods, why didn't you say something sooner?" Rory angrily points at Hawthorne, "Because YOU still don't let anyone get a word in edgewise, you sanctimonious prick! I have half a mind to go to the provost instead and tell him all about those 'extra lessons' of yours." Hawthorne quietly, but seriously tries to bring the temperature down, "Now, let's not be hasty, Rory." Rory practically spits, "Oh, fuck you, creep." Panel Five: A manuscript and fluttering pages hits the floor. Panel Six: Hawthorne has Rory by the wrist, awkwardly twisting his arm, leaving them in a brief stalemate physically. Hawthorne scowls, "Do not mistake me, girl. My contrition is purely a matter of professional and social grace." Rory scowled right back, "Call me a girl again and I'll feed you your teeth." Hawthorne sighed, "You have twice your brother's wit and half his charm." "Now who's wasting who's time?" "Watch your tongue, Captain."

Hawthorne looks taken aback, horrified at his own impropriety, gasping, "Rory?! Gods, why didn't you say something sooner?" Rory furiously responds, pointing a finger at the professor, "Because you still don't let anyone get a word in edgewise, you sanctimonious prick! I have half a mind to go to the provost instead and tell him all of those 'extra lessons' of yours." Hawthorne quickly implores, "Now let's not be hasty, Rory."

110% Rory, the Inventor! Rory studied in the siegeworks during the crusades, an independent wainwright on the frontier, and has pioneered new understanding of golemancy, clockwork engineering, and stassian (tesla) technology. If his theories hold, he'll soon command an airship of his own making too.
