While I can’t be sure that these are the same kind of ferns, these were growing all over the area around where the picture I posted was growing. The stalks were the same color (well very very similar color) as the stalk close up I posted.

I know what you’re thinking, but not this isn’t that. It’s a close up a fern’s seed “stalk” - I don’t know what the structure is called. I love the graininess of it though!

Okay. I’m really proud of and happy with this photo. I recently discovered that the camera on my phone takes better photos than the screen can resolve unless I zoom in. Anyway enjoy my little chance encounter with whatever kind of wasp or fly this is!

Lilacs bloomed and nearly passed fairly early this year. After many years the hidden gem known as “Lilacland” has had its last season. I don’t get there during the height of the bloom this year. #amherstma #lilacland #newengland #westernma #massachusetts #413

Dreadmill defeated. No change in parameters. This image is what I didn’t do today, but I almost lost the battle. I haven’t slept this good since maybe a decade before my divorce. Tomorrow and Mindaybate my weekend so no dreadmilling. Instead the big shop at Costco, and maybe some gardening?

Dreadmill defeated. No change in parameters. This image is what I didn’t do today, but I almost lost the battle. I haven’t slept this good since maybe a decade before my divorce. Tomorrow and Mindaybate my weekend so no dreadmilling. Instead the big shop at Costco, and maybe some gardening?
The dreadmill won today. No walk. No excuse either. I will say that I forget how emotionally balanced I feel when walking until I skip a day.

Dreadmill defeated. Yes the hardened toes of my shoes make the start of the walk a little hard, but it’s getting better. I think I’m going to stay at 3.4mph for another week after this. Last night I slept deeply, like a pubescent child in a growth spurt.

A tale of two restaurants with the same name. One version had a twenty minute wait with staff that seemed frazzled and w clientele that were very clearly hostile to people like me. The original restaurant just one town over with an hour wait to be seated, but some charming goats!
