I worked on the front lines as a social worker with children and families in their homes and then in the hospitals during the pandemic. I’m still a social worker. I don’t do it for the loan forgiveness, but damn—it would be nice if my government would stop sabotaging us for caring about people.

All existing student loans need to be either totally forgiven or have interest & fees forgiven. There’s no longer any credible excuse. If we can afford a $19Trillion deficit increase on a tax break we can forgive student loans & reduce the deficit

I’m at 117 qualifying payments/120 months of qualifying employment and should have been done Oct 2024 if not for the SAVE ruling causing my loans to be put in an ineligible forbearance until just last month when I was able to switch plans right before this evil empire removed the IDR change form.

The financial goals I've had for almost ten years are based on this program.
