Basically nice person with trust issues. Hoping for the best but preparing for the apocalypse
Quite frankly, I’d much rather have that than Krispy Kreme donuts

We’re pretty dry too, mostly lava rock, but those little suckers really thrive here (where little else does). They’re quite hardy

Also, while it’s hard for loved ones to watch the decline, it’s very difficult for me to lose things that were large parts of who I am/was

Self care, when you have disability, is basically a full-time, exhausting job. I don’t think able-bodied people grasp this. And my issues (clEDS and Lipedema) are progressive - it’s hard for people to accept that the things I could do 2 years ago are no longer on the table for me

I’ve been doing this too. Got one if those vacuum sealer thingys for mason jars. Too many things lost to pantry beetles in the past - everything is repackaged and sealed now. I love an organized pantry

We grow in this state, but who do you think picks the beans? Right now they’re hiding, just like in CA. Nobody to harvest

I have the worst time with summer squash. Can’t seem to get male and female blossoms at the same time. Also the plants die off after a bit and I’m not sure why. I try to have 3-4 plants going at the same time but seems like only 1 thrives at any given time

Thanks for this tip! Just planted a bunch of cranberry hibiscus - I’m going to intersperse some okra in between. Do you have a favorite okra variety? (I’m in Hawaii - goes down into the 50’s in winter but generally ranges 60-80 degrees, dry)

Four is a smaller amount, especially if you count the ones I’ve started then lost interest in that are in the pile of “probably never gonna finish this, but hanging on to it just in case I might”
