in honor of #thesiltverses q&a, here's my tsv finale posters
a fan poster for The Silt Verses episode Of Love, And Gods' Defeat. it depicts Paige, Val and Carpenter. the background is dark blue with a bright red vertical stripe in the middle. Val is in the center, she's a young light skinned woman with long black and bright red hair, the same color as the red background. she has blue eyes with red pupils. she's wearing a military jacket and an iridescent white tutu. there's a trickle of blood running from her nose. in her right hand she's clutching a pair of pointe shoes. her left arm is raised, with the palm open to the viewer. she has a halo made out of barbed wire. on her right there's Paige, who's turned away from her, looking up. she's a young, thin white woman with short brown hair which is adorned with a wreath of thin branches. she's wearing a black leather jacket and a long black skirt with golden leaves embroidered on it. there's a miniature oak tree growing from her right palm, and her left hand is covered in roots. on Val's left there is Carpenter, a pale, red-headed woman with freckles and scars on her face. she's wearing a long black coat, khaki shirt and grey jeans. her right hand is bloody and bandaged. her left palm is cupped, with water streaming from it. an illustration of The Silt Verses final episode. it depicts Carpenter holding Faulkner's body, in the Pieta manner. he's dressed in white robes, with gold and green embroidery of the trawler man spewing river water. he's wearing a crown of red and green kelp. there's algae, crabs, leeches and snails all around him. there's blood red river in the foreground. in the background, there's Paige's Wound Tree with the prayer marks etched on its bark, and white crocus flowers on its branches. there's barbed wire wrapped around the tree, with a ribbon hanging from it, reminiscent of the ribbons from Val's pointe shoes, as shown in the poster for the first part of the finale. from one of the tree's branches hangs a glimmering wedding ring, both a reminder of Hayward and of Paige's title: the Widow of Wounds. behind Carpenter and Faulkner there's a sign saying "stray and starving gods dwell beyond this point". the sky is blood orange.
