That's all I have so far but maybe I'll continue it, idk, it's just a silly AU, I wanted to write "divorce of convenience" but didn't want to pump out another 30 or 40k beast of a fic. ^^;

His agent was right, this was a phenomenal role, it was tailor made for him, it was the kind of thing he’d wanted to do since he first got into acting. It was a shame he retired. “You can come back,” his agent insisted, “In fact, despite your notable absence from film and television and social media, your fanbase is still quite active and frequently wonders what you’d be doing if you were still active.” Jun mused. Minghao was entirely supportive, in fact, he’d been the one who cautioned Jun against quitting entirely when Jun popped the question and insisted they marry and settle down. Minghao was convinced Jun would go mad if he quit acting but he quite enjoyed tending to their garden and helping Minghao with his photography studio. He’d been taking cooking classes to fill the time and he’d gotten damn good too. When he considered returning to television, he wondered if maybe he could handle going on Master Chef. But this… This script was incredible. There was just one catch… “The marketing thinks it would draw in a huge crowd if the audience saw you as an eligible bachelor. It helps with the wishfulfilment angle an’ all that.” “Well that’s absurd,” Jun replied, “I’m happily married.” A screenshot of a text file. It reads “We could get divorced,” Minghao shrugged as they discussed it over dinner, casually twirling spaghetti around a fork. Jun had been trying to perfect his bolognese recipe so he could make it just like they’d had on their honeymoon. He almost choked at the suggestion. “Why would we-” “If it helps with this movie… why not? We can get married again afterward. It’s not that big a deal.” “Our marriage isn’t that big a deal to you?!” Jun spluttered. “Our relationship is. The marriage is just a formality.” Typical Minghao, so calm and logical. “You want to pretend to split up just so I can star in this movie?” “If it helps, I fully support your career. I told you fully quitting probably wasn’t a good idea, you’d get the acting itch again eventually.” “But my acting and our marriage- It doesn’t have to be a trade off. I can do both.” “Listen to your agent. I’ll call a lawyer. The way I see it… we get a second honeymoon and wedding album out of this. What’s not to love?"

A fake entertainment news site has a tweet thread that reads "Wen Junhui reveals more about his surprise christmas marriage in brand new interview with E Weekly. Acting, Romance, and Retirement, He spills it all!" Then the next tweets include quotes from the interview which read, "Side By Side was a nice note to end my acting career on. My character was a desperate romantic and now I get to be one too" and "Minghao and I are polar opposites. No one thought we would work out at first but there are days when I'd wake up and I don't know how I got by without him." A fake pop base tweet that includes a photo of jun and Minghao walking together and smiling in the airport. Jun has his hand around Minghao. The caption reads "Newlyweds Junhui and minghao snapped at Xinjian International airport jetting off on their presumed Honeymoon"
