Maybe this is just my form of cope as despair tends to be the predominant sentiment these days, but I can't shake the feeling that there is a chance we achieve something good at the end of all of this. Maybe this bit of hope can bring you some comfort as well today ^.^

Additionally, we're seeing a kind of renaissance of indie games with tiny budgets flourishing and bring success and wealth to their creators; wealth that previously would have gone straight to the clueless execs at big game studios.

My evidence for this is the success of the @fluxpose.com kickstarter demonstrating that while the corps distance themselves from VR, there is still a lot of money and growth to be made; just not 100x growth and billions of dollars. (at least not short term).
