I am from a family of academics and I always found it insane that you need to pay a fortune to make your own work open access.

I use modular synths because I understand them. They just make sense. 😄 I always struggled with most normal synths and other conventual gear. Truth be told I hate to read manuals.

So now they are applying standard academic practises because people are abusing their system. I find it funny and ironic.

Btw there are some extreme small ML/LLMs out there that don't require much power. They are not accurate enough. But I can easily see someone using one in the near future as a generative feature in a module.

Bare in mind that I come from a very technical background. So it depends if the underlying algorithm is based on semi random number sequences or specific music theory. I guess semi random or grammar based. Adaptive is also a possible candidate.

Yeah and it's annoying. I used to use a few recipes from a certain website. And everytime I would google "X food" "Y website" and it would always come up. Recently it stopped. So I though maybe it's not there any more ..but it is. So I navigated manually and written down the ones I care about. Shame
