Sometimes a game's soundtrack is much less listenable, out of game at least, than I thought it would be.
The Guardian Legend for example, the tracks are either repetitive in a not enjoyable way, or are short enough to not meet the 1 minute minimum length for 2 loops I decided on for the playlist.

I'm set up to stream tonight, but I'm more in the mood for adding to the music playlist than I am for actually playing games at the moment.

Still of the opinion that's probably not stream-worthy, though if folks disagree and want to maybe weigh in if I'm indecisive on a track etc, let me know.

A solid 6 hours, though I'm not happy about entering the "Angry Pixies" phase of Voices of the Void.

And a raid today!

When you 'pspsps' into the Void, sometimes the Void 'mrrrp's back.

7 and a half hours. Definitely wasn't expecting to go that long, usually 6 hours is considered a good day for me.

Hm. @streamer.bot 's if/else sub-action used to only break a nested action, not the action that called it, at least as of 0.2.4 when I first used it this way.
But as of newer versions, unsure which, it will break the entire chain.
I don't see this anywhere in the changelogs, was it intentional?

The problem with maintaining separate OBS setups for classic/SDTV era stuff vs modern stuff;
Every time I make changes to one, I have to mirror them to the other, then I end up making more changes... Creating an infinite cycle of dumb that is entirely my own fault.

Being able to feed a whole entire pallet to the woodchipper in #voicesofthevoid and it just phases through into nothingness amuses me far more than it should, like the chipper is the disguise of some reality-bending being that simply hungers for wood and plastic.

9 hours of actually getting to play #voicesofthevoid instead of just watching it, now that I have a full set of hardware that isn't on its last legs...
I think I spent the majority of it obsessively trying to clean up the base, I haven't even finished with all the junk let alone scrubbing it.

It's kind of surprising how much joy I find in something as simple as finally having a PC on recent enough hardware to not struggle with streaming and actually be able to see people in source quality without constant hangups instead of resorting to 480p.

Because my username on Twitch implies I'm a streamer, I have a bad habit of never actually saying goodbye in chats, because it feels like an implied self-promotion. Is it just me who feels like that?

I drop in for @tiasinger.bsky.social playing Control and get immediately called out with this damn poster.

Look. I know retro games and the literal decade old PC are kind of my thing, but..
I don't -avoid- modern technology. I'm just broke.

Decided I wasn't in the mood to play any games today, and I wouldn't call setting up NSF music loop timings and making box art stream popups to go with them something stream-worthy.

Bad network frame drops happened again but I guess auto-selecting ingest server was the problem. Manual set to San Fran fixed it.

Maybe I just don't have as much "get good" in me compared to 10 years ago, but some of the NES era quirks like sudden difficulty spikes and silly item hunts really annoy me now.

Maybe I need a curated list of "low frustration" 8bit era games. (Coleco/C64/A8bit/etc included.)

Perhaps a NES-era JRPG on nowhere near enough sleep is not the best of ideas... Especially when enemies constantly putting you to sleep in the game makes you want to sleep IRL.

Apparently Famicom Wars doesn't allow access to maps 16/17 when loading a save file even with map 15 complete, I'd have to re-play map 15 and I'm just not gonna do that, they take too long.

Adventure Island 3 has the same carpal tunnel issue as 2 (I'm still not sure why it's gameplay style is an issue when others aren't) and I just plain didn't like Adventure Island 4. I really should start planning out my game options in advance.

(Thread, 1/4) This is going to sound a bit silly, but after my last stream 2 weeks ago I had a bit of a quiet freak out about the possibility of my carpal tunnel issues getting worse when the game I was playing wore out my hands in just a couple hours.
