+ i agree with you on the improper pacing making the story a bit janky, but imo i think that's the root cause of the 'show don't tell' issue. i think my biggest issue with the show is i much prefer the charm/style/characterisation the pilot had which makes me very biased</3

I agree with a lot of these points lol i think you phrased it way better than me (mostly cause i just like nitpicking.) imo I think season 1 charlie has the best character but her pilot version had the better potential and a much more interesting personality if that makes sense(?) 1/2

also yknow what while im shitting on the show the fight at the end of season 1 was fucking lame might aswell just put that out there the only good thing in this show is Nifty because she's impossible to flanderize (and sometimes huskerdust)

You'd think patience would be a strong suit for characters who are hundreds of thousands of years old. It's atleast explainable with the demons (temptation, impulse getting in the way) but the angels like Sera and whoever have no excuse. She's not sheltered, uninformed or naive, just straight dumb.

like pilot Charlie was a more softspoken people pleaser who let others speak over her in favor of keeping the peace. show Charlie cannot read a room to save her life (or her friends) and spends more time overwhelmed and leaning on Vagina or whoever tf than she does developing as a person.

now she's just like "FUCK the FUCKING redemption is FUCKING useless if we don't have FUCKING proof of sir pentious going to FUCKING heaven" and then has a breakdown on tv. Where is the polite and hopeful Charlie so excited to present the idea of redemption she burst into song and dance on live tv

get this BUM Fraudlastor OFF OF my screen. Also i hate Charlies characterization compared to her in the pilot she was so polite and had this charming put together front that would make sense for a public figure like royalty to have which made her vulnerable moments more charming.

also the songs are shoehorned in and aren't saved for important moments with emphasis like i feel they should be. why is Lucifer the king of hell starting a rap battle with this TV head guy this music shit should be used to portray meaning where just words cannot

it walks the audience through each plotpoint. i think the show would do much better with allowing the audience to put together for example Alastor using his 'capture' as a strategic move to weaken the Voxes trust then basically having him turn to the cam and go "chat clip this" then ragebaiting them
