The culture war isn’t a battle of ideas—it’s a civil religion, complete with its own gods, heretics, and holy texts. Just dropped a piece on how we’ve replaced spirituality with discourse. Read it here: The U.S. Culture War: Une Absurdité Sans Fin open.substack.com/pub/voiceoft...

We know how trade works. But enacting the obvious requires political will, not economic insight. Instead, we get tariffs. MAGA marinates in cognitive dissonance.

As tensions escalate between India and Pakistan, here are my predictions for how the activist left — particularly those who frame the world strictly through an oppressor/oppressed binary — will react:

If there’s a silver lining to the Trump-era economic turbulence, it’s this: the sheer volume of policy shocks—tariffs, tax cuts, deregulation, deficits—will keep economists busy for decades. A natural experiment in populist disruption.

The Agile simps now know what it feels like to have something forced down your throat ad nauseam.

The difference?
AI is actually going to work.

Agile, on the other hand, has become little more than a hollow certification you toss on a résumé.

The amount of pseudo-contrarian "tariffs are based, actually" takes I'm seeing is appalling. Mostly coming from people with no background in economics.

We are so fucked.

While everyone’s focussed on tariffs and the stock market now, Trump + DOGE are continuing to directly screw with ~6% of GDP.

Severely negative impacts to economic output and long run innovation potential remain the most probably outcome.

We live in tension—a paradox without resolution.
Is and is not. Science and God. Infinity and time.

Animals, haunted by the unknowable—driven by instincts we barely grasp, yet capable of reflection so deep it breaks us.

This is the absurd.
