You'll have to spar with Omeemee, Ontario for that one. And believe me, they'll put up a fight

An interesting takes, with some valid points for sure. In the ostrich case, I think proper quarantine measures/limiting exposure should definitely come before anything else, though. I agree that there could be exceptions to culling, but those require hard evidence of immunity

Saw you reposted my comment. I appreciate you listening!

I'll take this opportunity add that several months without deaths could also mean several months of exposure to wild animals and spread of H5N1, especially since CFIA says the farm has not taken proper quarantine measures

I think this is a fair concern, but It's worth pointing out that A: PCR tests' false positive rate is almost zero and B: there's a very real risk of the virus mutating and becoming much more severe. No deaths doesn't necessarily mean all the birds are healthy

Since I'm a semantic nitpicker, I still think there's a distinction- listening to an audiobook is just not the same action as reading.

That being said- I don't think that's a huge deal. I love print and audiobooks, and both have their merits. If it gets more people consuming books, I'm all for it.

Maybe controversial, but this was how I felt about GoW (2018). Took a one-dimensional character, slapped a beard on him, gave him a kid and introduced some basic themes of family/guilt, etc. not horrible of course, but not great by most other story standards outside of video games
