I posted about #MTG yesterday regarding her "sudden change of heart" after her dear leader disowned her. Some said hey give her a chance or the enemy of my enemy is my friend. I say remember this fable: The Scorpion and the Frog
This is a comic strip of the fable the "The Scorpion and the Frog." in 8 panels. The Story and Its Meaning The story is short, but its moral is very powerful: The Characters: The Scorpion: A creature that cannot swim. The Frog: A creature that can swim, but is wary of the scorpion's deadly sting. The Plot: The scorpion asks the frog for a ride across a river. The frog hesitates, fearing the scorpion will sting it, which would kill them both. The scorpion argues that if it stung the frog, it would drown, so it would be against its own self-interest. Convinced by this logic, the frog agrees. Halfway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog. The Dialogue: As they both begin to sink, the frog asks, "Why? Now we will both drown!" The Scorpion's Reply: "I couldn't help it. It is simply my nature." 💡 The Moral The moral of the fable is often understood as: You cannot fight or escape a person's fundamental nature or character, even if it is self-destructive.

Interesting how hue determines whether the 1st Amendment applies to you or not. So Kirk's hue meant he could spew hate 24/7 and not be accountable for his words. But if a brown person said something hateful it is a terroristic threat.

In fact, charitable donations fund so much of what makes Houston Audubon so special, including managing over 4,000 acres of land for bird habitat, two Native Plant Nurseries, visitor infrastructure like the McGovern Canopy Walkway, education and outreach programs for all ages, and much more. All of this would not be possible without the help of charitable donations. As a constituent to the representatives in your community, your voice matters. Please reach out to your representatives to ask them to revise harmful aspects of this bill, and instead introduce verbiage that will support non-profits that aim to improve their communities. Additionally, share with your representative how Houston Audubon and other non-profits have positively impacted your quality of life.
