If you haven't seen it and want some Pitt-level medical drama I'd recommend giving french series Hippocrate a go. I am always *extremely* wary of french tv series, but this one is a gem.

I'd say you were right the first time, Star Trek is unapologetically woke as fuck. If someone asked Captain Picard if he's "too woke" he'd go on a monologue about how yes, when tiranny is at the gates the only answer is to be too woke, and it would be glorious.
