When after dialing a phone number from a rotary phone there was a consistent “beeeep beeeep beeep” sound, it didn’t mean the phone was broken. It meant someone on the other end was either using said phone or it was “off the hook.”

May every last one of these ICE agents never have a restful night’s sleep ever again. May their nightmares have the time of their lives.
