Interestingly, this was reported May 21, 2017 by Wired. Got very little attention from MSM outlets at the time (pissed me off enough to document it, though!)

While you're attempting to squelch fires, you should consider that a bunch of those 12M are fake accts from fake networks.
Many are easily identifiable (see examples) & many are already posting political content while falsely inflating metrics (including yours).
