I'm not that kind of accountant but iirc you pay taxes on the difference between the book value of assets and the agreed sale prices of those assets. Those assets would include the dairy land and buildings if they owned it.

I really enjoyed it and am going to do a rewatch soon but a more cohesive plot more than main character get stronger would be nice. Felt like they were getting there with some parts like the hell city multi level place.

Government owned supermarket does seem like a good long term play if they're serious about grocery prices. Would be decent returns for the taxpayer too I would guess.

The tech (battery and otherwise) is currently moving rather quickly and the leaf hasn't been keeping up after their early market lead. Even my 2019 Kona seems a bit behind now. Glad you're enjoying the leaf. Electric cars are bloody great.
