30 by Marte would sure look lovely. I'm not giving up!

Full camo gear... because? Cosplaying morons.

Exactly. Devers and Bregman will make $66m. Suarez, Gray, and Contreras $69m. Cost us a couple prospects and draft picks, but projected 2 more WAR than Devers-Bregman combo. And we still have one more move...

Agree that this frees up pitching depth for a follow up trade.
January 14, 2026 at 7:28 PM
Ya, mostly agree. But that thing was violent. They wouldn't have any room to complain with that call. I like Mazz' response. Didn't attack, just made it very, very clear. ha.

Consistency is not an excuse for bad. And this was a heinous no-call. Official is staring right at it, and it was obvious to people in obsructed view seats it was a George Kittle block.

They are already at B-. One more addition (Bo, Marte, etc.) to get to A. And depending on what they do with their surplus OF, could get to A+.

I'll wait until the third act before leaving the theater, thank you.

I remember when I had so much faith in Mueller too... Those naive days are long gone.

In an age where political journalists are cowering in the softball questions corner, I'm okay with a little deviation. I do wish she had made it one short sentence leading to her question.
January 12, 2026 at 4:28 PM
Thank you. I can't wait to revisit all the whining when this contract becomes a massive albatross.

Re-visiting this tweet in February...

Dodgers are on a whole different level, but I agree with you. And I think those two trades/signings can be fairly routine (not hail marys).
January 11, 2026 at 9:22 PM
Trading Devers and trade deadline are both disagreeing about short-term vs long-term priorities. I was fine with both of those decisions. Judging the FO based on a single game is... not smart.
January 11, 2026 at 5:21 PM
The FO is not dumb. You can argue about how they prioritize short-term vs long-term, or certainly about budget, but they are not dumb.

Most people from my crotchedy generation would whine, but easing the travel burden makes tremendous sense.
January 9, 2026 at 8:20 PM
I have warmed to a split season. An in-season tournament would be dreadful.
