What if our sensitivity—this concern for others is the gateway to settling the dissonance caused by impermanence?

It’s easy to condemn the sensitive parts of ourselves— the parts that care more for others than ourselves. It’s definitely easy in the kind of culture we’re living in. But what if that part of us is just the part that’s connected to something greater?

I think this is where creativity for the sake of others is important— we create for OTHERS, not ourselves. So no, the good feeling won’t last for us. But it’ll last for the people who need it, and that’s worth something. Really it’s worth everything, I think.

Impermanence is both good and bad— good because the bad feelings don’t last. Bad because neither do the good feelings. So then, why write and share the work if the good feeling from doing so won’t last?
