Many yrs ago, a consort I was in, Musik's Monument, explored Byrd's Catholic liturgical music. It's simple. transparent, and beautiful; different from his secular music yet recognizably by him.
We recorded some of it for Norris Chumley's The Gospel According to Jesus, if you can find it.
