The show is definitely showing its age after knowing what the Post Trump world had shown us as if they actually became the very thing they were screaming about for decades and they were psychologically projecting all along.

I dunno but given Trump's previous track record during his first administration during the COVID pandemic indicates that his regime will be unstable and unsustainable in the long run and the collapse of the USA is pretty much inevitable as long as Trump remains in power.

I think Vampires were originally meant to be demonization of Queerness via a Conservative lens which only have been reclaimed in recent times.

Since the point is if Linkara's theory of deterrence worked then a Nuclear War would have happened immediately right after Russia set their foot on Ukraine or hell even before when they had been building up their forces around the border around 2021 after the US setting to DefCon 5.

Those reviews are now relics from a long bygone era where everyone had a false sense of security back then unlike today that we now realize that Nuclear Weapons exist as blackmailing tactics to remove any guardrails allowing Authoritarian Regimes to invade any country they want without repercussions

I remember watching something on YouTube that Nosferatu did impact him as a child when he rented and watched the film on VHS which inspired him but my main point is that Twilight may have pushed his ambitions further.

Well Nosferatu was something he grew up with as a child which is something he wanted to make for a long time but I'm not ruling out the possibility that Twilight may have emboldened his efforts to an accelerated degree though.

The main intent was a Knee Jerk reaction towards Twilight and it failed miserably despite Eggers having that energy though.

Of course then again vast majority of writers from the 19th century had written Vampires via a conservative lens which they really represented the Other that lured mortals into disobedience and unholiness so there's still room to portray them as marginalized groups after all.

Of course then again the best example of Vampires being used as metaphors for marginalized groups are queer people which is rather obvious due to how coded they actually are and I suppose that they can both represent Aristocracy and Queerness as well.

Of course then again VtM is perhaps the worst offender of the whole "Vampires as Addiction" metaphor due to having literal beasts inside them that makes them behave like Drug Addicts having meltdowns.

Vampires are really whatever metaphor you want them to be since they are literary devices that varies from different authors but the original folklore Vampires though are originally the peasantry risen from their graves to haunt the living since they were once actual superstitions people believed.

Of all the Western films ever made in decades, nobody has ever bothered to make a film adaption of that after all this time which shows that nobody in Hollywood or anywhere else in the filming industry worldwide has ever valued Women's Rights at all.
