It’s hard to fathom what universe Kurti’s coalition government has been living in for the past two years, but here we are.
Successive agreements & coziness with the Israeli government can't be excused as “state interests”; they reflect the moral and political decay within the ruling parties.

Fantastic article by Gjiltinë Isufi on the spatial component of traumatic memories of political prisoners in Gjilan prison.

She reads the carceral geography and architecture through rain, sunlight, clacking sound of key chains woven in the poems of political prisoners. tinyurl.com/78653yav

"Girlhood At War" made it home!

Unlike anything I’ve written before, this book is a personal story about growing up during Serbia's war against Kosovo and about finding myself, at 14, translating for US NATO troops in its aftermath. (Yes, the young girl in these pictures is me.)

It takes 11 hours 58 minutes and 30 seconds to read out the names of those killed in Srebrenica genocide.

11 hours, 58 minutes and 30 seconds!

A cup of coffee for each of the 8372 victims. Credits to Sto Te Nema.

In June 2024, we—the YugoslaWomen+ Collective—held actions at CEE-ISA in Rijeka to acknowledge the genocide in Gaza.
A modest intervention turned into one of the weirdest & tensest academic events we've experienced.

It was great to be part of the panel "Outsourced Empire? Questioning Norms and Values of EU External Relations" at #EUIA2025 with DFUTURE colleagues.

In times of genocide, we refused to carry on with “conference as usual", a small but necessary act of refusal against complicity.

No conferencing as usual during genocides!

Given the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people and our Palestinian colleagues in Gaza, we invite you to join us on Thursday (22 May) at 12:45 at The Thinker statue inside VUB’s campus for an action in solidarity with Gaza. #EUIA25
