My car randomly had a fully flat tire late at night last week, so I metroed home and dealt with it by train and bike the next morning. Bikes (and trains, and air pumps) make cars more feasible.

I disliked it for all the other reasons. I volunteered at my kid’s school (where this was a covid-era replacement for doing the same inside) with my bike. Then I saw folks try to depart with their cars while the lot was full of children and then no convenience seemed worth it in any context really.

This? It’s the excavation for a building that has two cellar levels so nearby neighbors won’t have to see those homes above ground. www.axios.com/local/washin...
