Why am I sceptical of Ginessa and her wanting to pull Jula away from her magic so quickly? Is she afraid that Jula would free all the old gods? by choice or force? Does she fear that Horrible Horace and the golden turd could capture and force Jula to finish what she has started?

I hope that when Jula and Neo recover sufficiently, it is to see Horace the horrible back in the cells under the stairs. a permanent residency.... until he is unalived.

this is both amazing and scary... If she can break The Curse... she just became very VERY valuable to Horace and his minions.... Jula is in a lot of danger.
