Lyria does end up warming to all the companions, but her initial impressions were... mixed.
Astarion: Dagger at my throat? Rude. But he is nice to look at I will admit, and his theatrics are amusing. But that smile doesn't reach his eyes, is he hiding something?

Prior to the events of BG3, it was the destruction of her violin.
It had been her way of fighting the Urge, and after over a 100 years trying to resist, it crushed her. She finally gave up, and turned to bloody destruction, becoming a key instigator of the Absolute.

They were also in honour of the mother she lost. She too had facial tattoos, but never explained what they meant. When she would ask, Lyria was repeatedly told: "I shall explain when you're older", but that chance never came.

Lyria's face tattoos are intricate waves and lines, to her representing the flow of music and how it weaves around the listener. She hoped it would be a reminder to ground herself in music against the Urge, rather than just looking in a mirror and seeing only her guilt

Lyria's main motive: Freedom
Freedom to make her own choices, to live and love. To actually start planning a future, not just trying to survive one day at a time.
This feeds into her wanting the same for all the companions, Astarion included. The found family that she loves

The thing that makes Lyria weak: Fear
She fears the loss of control from the Urge, hurting those she cares for, memories it haunts her with. It can cause her to hesitate or react without thinking.
Once free of her Father her fear begins to ease a little

Lyria has been through so much, and feeling betrayed by her Father from a young age has left her skeptical and slow to trust. Not just because she fears more betrayal from others, but also from herself and the Urge. She doesn't feel she deserves trust.

Lyria is absolutely down for PDA - she's finally happy and free, and isn't holding back from enjoying life now. She will tend to let Astarion take the lead, especially earlier on, as if he becomes uncomfortable it's less pressure versus being at home. 💜

Lyria was born into a noble house, and was being educated in the ways of Drow politics, but was far more interested in music. And then the city was destroyed, so that education was cut abruptly short. It cemented her loathing of politics as part of the city's downfall.

Lyria does have her musical ability, so she will on occasion use that to earn some coin, usually at a Tavern when out on the road.
She also does sometimes play in camp during the tadpole adventures, especially more in the Shadowlands where it's not safe to venture away.

Lyria's vice is coffee. She doesn't need much rest as can use reverie, but she'd try and avoid it as it brings bad memories (her guilt would guide her to those) and sleep brings nightmares.
She also really likes the taste of it! Astarion has to take the mug away some days

Lyria can be the charismatic Bard, and charm her way through most social events, which is a handy skill if you're distracting upper city denizens whilst your partner lightens their pockets. 💰
However, she also finds those events exhausting, and full of falsehoods.

Lyria's dream for the longest time: freedom.
Free from the Urge and free from the murderous whispers. But most importantly - free to have people she can care for, without fear she will hurt them (although it will take years for that fear to fade). 🥺

Lyria's fighting style is "whatever works", her brand of chaos definitely carries over. She has muscle memory on how to cause carnage from her Durge past, but also loves a good Vicious Mockery laced with puns, or using her music to distract and disorientate.

Lyria loves lilac scented items: soaps, candles, bath stuff, and a long soak in a hot bath with those would be a real treat!
Food treatwise anything with cinnamon or coffee, buns, biscuits/cookies, cakes - yum!
And Astarion regularly purloins the treats for her 🤭

Lyria is 129 years old, so still got a large potential lifespan for a Drow ahead of her.
However, she's been fighting the Urge for over a 100 of those years, which has definitely taken a toll on her mentally.
She's younger than Astarion by a decent margin (and teases him)!
