At the end, it's all about perception. Do something people will recognize but put it your own way, with unique logic logic and laws. Mushrooms could fly, and it's still gonna be a mushroom forest.

Second picture tells a story. You build an introstructure. And you don't need to invent a bicycle. Use familiar shapes. Logic is the most important. What do they do in this rig? What are they doing with that substance?

You need to show logiv of your piece. Show how one detail influences all around. For example (1st pick before, 2nd pick after feedback) here's my first environmental concept. At the beginning it's just random buildings. On the second picture they're working as a united block of information

Thank you! I'm really not the one to give advices, but I will try. It's one of my first environmental works and it's done under the guidance from my mentor. He says you gotta focus on biger picture and what you want to tell
