(6/6) I also wanna give a huge thanks to HeadRush Roasters for being absolutely amazing and supportive of local artists, it’s so wonderful to be given the chance to shine in their coffee shops and to have that first experience of showing and selling my artwork! ❤️☕️

(5/6) -project for my final HeadRush Coffee shop art show, which is where it’s located at and on sale, so if you are in the area, I highly recommend you checking out the art that is there, there’s a lot of wonderful art made by local college students! 💪

(4/6) -edge of the board, and used a black posca marker for the black markings of course. I also had help from my wonderful grandmother who stained the board and prepped it for me to mark on, appreciate her a ton! This was a process I was new to and I’m happy I took the leap and made this kick ass

(3/6) -with the alcohol markers then I would add in the finer detail with color pencils. It was honestly a fun process and I adore the results! Will certainly do another project using this method. I also used a fine tipped white posca marker for some of the smaller highlights and writing along the

(2/6) -it was a long night and I was quite tired. But I had a lot of fun with this piece! The acrylic and color pencil idea didn’t really work out after I did a couple of tests so I opted for something that made more sense, that being alcohol markers and color pencils. I would fill the big areas

(3/3) -wanna be equals but wanna be better than the other at the same time and how these issues plus different perspectives can affect a close bond.

(2/3) -when working on character designs. But these two are twins, Willow and Zuri. I mainly love these two solely for their dynamic with one another and just capturing that relatable sibling bond where you wanna be with each other all the time but don’t want too at the same time

There will be more things that are included mixed media wise but that’s the basic gist of what is to come with this project.

I’ll be coloring this drawing in using color pencils and acrylic paint (that’s the plan at least) and then I’ll cut out the design and glue it on an oak stained wooden board.

What is seen right here is just the sketch for what I will be doing, my cats are playing with pastry fish flowing out of a spilled cup of coffee.

This is my third and last time I’ll be making art for the coffee shop as a final, so this time around I wanted to make the piece a little closer to my heart, by including my two cats, Clarice and Mittens.

At the college I attend, usually the final for the drawing and painting classes involve making art for a local coffee shop and this year is no different.
