Jax genuinely does not think he’s a bad guy. When Pomni asks if he’s taken on the “villain” archetype (bc that’s how everyone else sees him), his response is, again, seemingly offended.
He’s entertained by his own antics, so he feels it should be obvious to others that he’s just a Bugs Bunny type.

Jax stiffens briefly and almost seems offended by that sentiment, but then takes it as a cue to put the act back on.
Pomni tries to lightly probe him here, but obviously he’s not receptive.

Even Ragatha seems taken aback by him here for a moment before she unintentionally oversteps after this.

“I didn’t think you CARED about what other people like.”

Not “you’re an asshole and she doesn’t like you”
Not an accusation or hostility (like with Ragatha & Zooble throughout the episode)
Just. Curiosity and, most notably, utter confusion. She kinda wants to understand what motivates his behavior.
