Honestly the narration of the trailer and description being a mislead isn’t even entirely unrealistic it just wouldn’t be convincing enough for a fair reason. The game comes out in about exactly 3 weeks anyways

Still would be a sequel to The Mimic as a story technically but I think you get it. And obviously it wouldn’t have to adhere to every single detail of The Mimic under this theory, a theory that many likely aren’t convinced of for obvious reason I assume.

I meant more so aware of the contents in them. And maybe not every single detail but under the theory that SOTM is less of a direct sequel to The Mimic story in a sense that it takes place soon after Team B is killed and more of a prequel to the Epilogues I don’t think it would necessarily HAVE to.

To be fair…. Scott could still give them that story even if they weren’t actively reading them. And I’d say it’s pretty clear that they’re aware of what’s inside the books since Evan did say fans can make connections that are there + the whole thing with working in “dual-mediums”.

Even as someone who likes The Mimic, I really don’t like when people say “his first appearance was in Help Wanted 1”, usually in response to him being introduced in RUIN, which they really don’t understand what a proper intro is and we wouldn’t be getting Secret of The Mimic AFTER RUIN either.

Even as someone who likes The Mimic, I really don’t like when people say “his first appearance was in Help Wanted 1”, usually in response to him being introduced in RUIN, which they really don’t understand what a proper intro is and we wouldn’t be getting Secret of The Mimic AFTER RUIN either.
And Mimic fans already treat Glitchtrap as a separate entity honestly, most evidently with the fact that Help Wanted 2 shows Glitchtrap dying but The Mimic itself is still alive, it just doesn’t copy William anymore. But, I suppose I understand where you’re coming from

Honestly, even Mimic fans who believe he was planned will admit that, yes, Glitchtrap came first. But the reason is more so because Mimic was supposed to be a plot twist that ended up failing with how Security Breach turned out.
