I too stagger around half asleep with sharp objects. And I also grow more dangerous the more fairies I know. This card speaks to me.

My friend Jamie didn't make it this year. We never met. It was solely a friendship through Discord. She liked musicals, and painting with watercolors. She had a terrible laugh, that rose in pitch at the end of each part. She was outrageously funny. She was wonderful.

This is confession, not a beg for dialogue, or a cloying move for compliments. I have blocked replies to prevent this. The ten people who follow me here, I apologize for dragging you into my drunken self flagellation. But someone must know. Anyone I suppose. And I am too lazy to shriek in the street

Today isn't about me. It is for the mourned not the mourners. But there my selfishness roils. I loathe my own survival. The callous joke that this bloated, selfish, useless parasite has outlived so many worthy people is proof in a cruel universe.
November 20, 2025 at 7:33 PM
It's the fading. The cruelty of it. It's vile enough that the dead are frozen before their time. Unable to grow, to change, to create. But, day by day, I find myself struggling to recall their features. The sound of their voices. It slips through my fingers like ash. Until there's nothing.
November 20, 2025 at 7:27 PM
But, therein lies the selfishness of my own self loathing. I have been egregiously lucky. I have survived again and again while far more meaningful friends have succumbed. And on this day about remembering their humanity, I find myself increasingly unable to.

I'm sick of it. Watching kind, beautiful people flayed and broken by their own families, their own communities, the politicians sworn to protect them. This unceasing machine that seeks to kill us, to destroy us so utterly that there is not even the pitiable gift of hope remaining.

Ah. But consider this! As my decrepit form nears thirty, I will soon possess the power of two fifteen year olds! One to cyberstalk and one to procrastinate doing my homework!

Here's some fun reading on the topic. In shorthand, it doesn't matter if something is recyclable. If you empty a supply faster than it can recycle, you are going to start running out.
Water Scarcity
Water covers 70% of our planet, and it is easy to think that it will always be plentiful.

Human made art is on track to use water in quantities equal to the entire human water consumption of Canada by 2027?

Fun Fact: Water scarcity is becoming increasingly dire. Right now Tehran is on the brink of having to be mass evacuated due to water shortages.

Not sure why Ai Schlock is showing up on my feed, but here is a fun reminder for folks. The whole plagiarism engine aspect is bad enough, the waste of electricity is awful, but ai data centers are boiling away millions of gallons of water for this crap.

I know it's very much not the focal point, but I adore the eyes! Beautiful colors, the predatory slit irises, almost ragged and feral. Bloody fantastic!

You think, I think so, but my neighbor is being whiny. So a reusable knife might be handy before he loses the other eye.

Yeah. Disposal of all my knives is becoming a pain in the ass. They always cut up my garbage bags. I've started chucking them out the window.
