If you like watching people try lots of food from different cultures I highly recommend JOLLY - I've been home sick and it's massively cheered me up, watching them try things like Michelin star food and soul food in the US.

Okay so it's not BBC, shock, but it has that like, 90s TV home movie vibe, if that makes sense? I just watched the Wrinkle in Time tv movie from this era, and it feels the same.

YEAHHH I'm watching it rn, it's a bit low budget but it's pretty good actually? Very British-made feeling. hahaha

Look at this Peter Steele looking motherfucker. Of course I’d smash.

He also played Nuada who is also a hottie so this makes sense.

Apparently this is the adaptation the most faithful to the book.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not-NOT enjoying how ridiculous it is, but the Coppola one stuck to the original story more and that’s saying a lot 😆

There’s so much extra wild shit happening in this plot and I’m only 50 minutes in like… WHAT is happening?? Horny perfume causing flash mobs subplot? Little minion gargoyles?

Otherwise they’ve played fast and loose with the plot of Dracula, but it is just an adaptation, so that’s fine.

Very camp Jonathan Harker too. About to get killed by a vampire and he’s like “wait tell me your life story”. Relatable, really.

Someone definitely went to the same voice deepening class as Bill Skarsgard’s Orlok and Jacob Elordi’s Creature.

It’s also horny on main in a different way to the Coppola one. There’s definitely more than a few nods to that story. Mainly that Mina is the Count’s dead wife come back.

Thank you, I figured better last week’s gigs than this weeks if it keeps dragging on :( I’ve been home since last Thursday! Ugh

I’m going to make that ginger orange juice you shared that time. Should have the moment I got sick really.
