I mean, steel ball run took 7 years. So it's not toooooo much longer for jojolion. I can imagine with the style Araki likes to draw and write he takes a lot of time to think about what he's gonna do with the story and how he's gonna present it visually.

A lot of people quit in the middle of jojolion. Jojolands enjoyers just know how to keep it on the down low with people who've read it. It's like being in a fun little club.

I was speaking on his restraint shown in part 4. He kinda pulls the exact thing you're talking about in part 3 but to the extreme when they suspect someone at that rest stop of being ZZ(the car stand user) and proceed to beat up everyone there just to find out that he isn't even in that crowd lol.

I feel like it shows the restraint that Jotaro has gained as a character from part 3 to part 4 and it makes me like him more to see him gain strategy like that.

I feel like if he did that it would only let the enemy stand user know his location first. Like, if he punched the wrong guy then the enemy would see star platinum and know to lay low or get the jump on him. I really like the mental game of poker that stand users have to get into to stay ahead.
