Reagan’s words about tariffs are going viral after Trump’s insistence that they are “fake” created a “Streisand Effect”
Here’s the original clip of Ronald Reagan from April 25, 1987, where he delivered a complete and total rebuke against tariffs. Trump's calling Reagan’s words here “FAKE” and “fraudulent.” They’re 100% real. And the original clip is actually far worse for Trump, as much is left out of the ad:

Even a large percentage of people cinching their wallets for one day would never impact the bottom line of a large corporation. This is a warning shot. An exercise is solidarity for larger action. I do love that maga is “owning the libs” by going broke buying crap they don’t need 😂

A few things to know about the USPS: no tax dollars go to fund USPS. We only recently stopped giving the Fed $5B before profits annually. Letter Carriers have now worked over 600 days without a contact & pay raises have been 1/3 the national average over 20 years. SEND HELP! #lawfirms

I feel like what we are learning from this experience is that many working in government agencies have incredible integrity. They declined a buyout and resign when forced to do something incredibly unethical.
