You basically want to play snake but avoid jumping over gaps of more than two squares. If you do have to jump, weave the floss through the back in the direction you want to go. Never jump over areas that are blank on the pattern, as the floss shows through the gaps in the fabric.

Favourite piece from the Electric Dreams exhibition at Tate Modern is by Davide Boriani. I recommend seeing these iron shaving creatures in person if you can time it right, as they take little rest breaks
