I wrote about "the juggle" in an old blog post, and there's definitely a few balls in the air right now. If you're up to date on my book-ish show, here's a change of topic:

Trying to promote my own show has unlocked an unexpected wave of creativity for social media.
I don't think I'll ever be very good at it, but it's fun to try

Theatre programming in November and December is so interesting, I love the different opinions on what audiences may want at this time of year

Another job I'd really like to ha e is to (eventually) succeed the great Roger Tilling, declaring the names on University Challenge with increasing urgency over the course of 30 minutes

One slightly frustrating thing about a lot of theatre "day jobs" is that they don't happen in the day - they happen at the same time as theatre.

This applies to FOH, hospitality and teaching. Don't quite know how to square that circle when I want to see good art.

What do you look for when selecting a show?

Saw Next to Normal at the cinema yesterday.
Everything about the production was outstanding, but I particularly loved Eleanor Worthington-Cox as Natalie.
Also a special place in my heart for Jamie Parker, who I've loved since The History Boys
