also worth mentioning that the accident happened at *my* airport. i've flown in where the crash happened twice just this month! i'm not more scared than I was before.

that specific airport is really stupid has more to do with it. congress micro-manages and forces more capacity than is safe

the last time this many people died in a plane crash in the states was *2001*. the risk remains incredibly low. i understand having a visceral reaction, but rationally it's not risky at all
