Thank you for the clarity. I had seen the reports that the Stella Creasy amendments wasn’t supported and didn’t understand or appreciate the implications. She has always been a strong advocate for women’s rights.

Worth considering Bunnahabhain 12 or Redbrest 12. They both have a ‘caramel’ flavour that you often get with bourbons. Obviously not the same .. but worth a try ..

In some cases I think the media is driving the agenda and the politicians are catching up .. thinking about the influence the Murdoch press has had in the UK over the past 20+ years on how everything was the EU’s fault & now it is immigrants’ fault etc …

As to why people report their financial circumstances in certain ways - I think persistent messaging from the media has a real impact. “The economy is better with X political party versus Y”. I have heard that message so many times stated as a ‘fact’ regardless of reality.

I agree and think many in the media want quick headlines / click bait which so often is aimed at whipping up negativity. I suspect the underlying causes are many and varied: targets, incentives, backers’ influence ..

Possibly because facts and expert input is often complex & nuanced. Mainstream media 24hr news cycle relies on simple headlines & stories to provide a ‘quick fix’.
