They and others may think and believe what they say, but it's objectively incorrect. Workers built cities, schools, hospitals, bridges and all our important infrastructure. We farmed the land. We won and lost wars that had nothing to do with us.

They just want to profit at any cost. Be it famine, war, pestilence or catastrophe. They will more than likely be fine and so will their descendants. But we suffer the consequences of the permission we give them to dictate how we use the wealth WE create. Simple as that.

#MMT is a description of the REAL workings of the monetary system and it can be employed for the aforementioned purposes and more. We would still be within a capitalist system, with all it's contradictions, but just like the concessions of the 50's, there would be much less disparity.
