We deserve good public schools and earned sick leave, not utility rate hikes or grocery taxes.

“ Matt Vitale challenges Brad Christ for Missouri's 96th District CRESTWOOD, MO - Today, Matt Vitale announced his candidacy for Missouri's 96th State House District, launching a Democratic challenge to Republican incumbent Brad Christ and offering voters a future focused on accountability and delivering results for our community. "My friends and neighbors feel neglected by a representative who isn't showing up for us," Vitale said. "While our costs for housing, childcare, and utilities have continued to rise, the Republican supermajority has instead been focused on undermining public education and overturning the earned sick leave and the reproductive rights we voted for in 2024." Vitale, a proud public school dad, roots his campaign in community service. Born and raised in South St. Louis County, he started his career at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where he helped veterans with vision loss learn the skills they needed to live independently. Building a career around accessibility and civil rights enforcement, he trained attorneys on how to investigate digital access complaints in schools and universities nationwide as the Lead Accessibility Specialist for the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights. He learned how to hold institutions accountable, enforce fairness at the highest levels of government, and make systems work for the families who depend on them.
