I don’t know that I’ve ever loved anything more than I love being your dad.

My guy just really loves planes… can’t help but point ‘em out when he sees one.

I love my Leicas but when wanting to bring a film camera lately, I keep grabbing the F2. It just feels wonderful in the hands.

Here with the Voigt 40mm and a cameo from a yawning Teddy the other day on a walk.

Good mail day. One of my favorite photographers, just keep adding to the collection.

Last one, it’s in the garage so I can’t take pictures of it at the moment, but Estevan Oriol’s “This is Los Angeles” is a beautiful b&w love letter to, and documentation of, LA. There’s also a great Netflix doc made by him called “LA Originals” that is worth a watch.

I love both of @spookieshelbie.bsky.social‘s books but “Somewhere Between Psychosis and Neurosis” hits especially hard. All b&w self portraits, documenting the lead up, occurrence, and fall out of a mental breakdown.

Not necessarily reaching deep, but I love Alec Soth and my favorite of his is Niagara.

“Balls and Bull Dust” by Hakan Ludwigson is one of my favorites, following cattle ranchers in the Australian outback. Incredible doc and portraiture work. Also, there’s a great interview in the back of the book that even gets into the technical of his gear.
