As I said in my response comment, if you dont have anything normal to say on seeing a girl online, keep your mouths shut. Be respectful as you would your male counterparts. Thats all we as girl gamers ask.

I'm putting this forward not because I want attention, far from it, but i want other girls that get this dumb behavior thrown at them to be heard and seen as well. These interactions arent the first time this has happened to me, and I doubt it will be the last either.

Im fully aware of the state of gaming, and while one might say "ITS THE INTERNET DEAL WITH IT" and that being a correct statement, girls feeling creeped out by men online and being afraid to come forward in a space thats shared by all corners of the gender spectrum is wrong.

I know. I might be a bit reactionary at this point, because this is now THE SECOND TIME in a week ive felt creeped out by interactions im having with men in online games, but his was my response to this:

Destiny 2's social hub, the Tower. I'm standing afk minding my own business this time alone bc my bf works, and I get an innocent interaction, a compliment to my name then this:

This was an interaction within Tekken 8's Online Fight Lounge function. My boyfriend was sat on a machine behind me fighting a friend of ours in a group match. AS SOON as I mentioned my bf the conversation went non creepy. If my bf wasnt there, I would have left the lounge.
