additionally, theres more going on with answerer than other relics. the metal coating it in this one scene, that then seems to be shed later, on that same stormy ship? the metal crackles with blue lightning, like some agarthan tech, incl the "gun". and the hilt is still that metal after, too.

honestly itd be pretty rad if this guy was the (male form of the) avatar character. like i said he shows up as a blue unit on more maps than anyone else, 3 out of 4. design-wise, the tome-wielder looks the most avatar-y though, in which case its interesting who she's positioned with in the first map

2, theres a few candidates for avatar characters that are on the map as theyve been since awakening. theodora's and dietrich's maps have 1 blue unit conspicuously off-screen, & the red haired guy is on screen in both. Leda's map doesnt show the red-head or a mini-map though. so itd be one of these 3

more about curse - just noticed it has the same mark on it as the gauge. additionally, blaze arts have a "blaze" stat that also has that mark. could be a thing where you need to balance curse vs blaze. also also, skills are back!

interesting but maybe nothing: the shape of the sigil Cai produces appears in the crests of timotheos and indech. also interesting that it comes out of some stigmata style mark on his palm

back to lore, this shot is really interesting! the throne atop the steps of course brings to mind sothis, but not the same. also, the person in the chair doesnt totally look like the dragon-y fella from the arena, but it is full of spears and his statue wields a spear...

something interesting going on here - the cavalry symbol, seen on both cai and the chariot - hovering green over the enemy unit and then appearing alongside a skill activation. not sure what it means!
